The banking crisis. The recent failures of Silicon Valley Bank, Sovereign Bank, and internationally, Credit Suisse, have brought new focus on banks, their ability to pay depositors, and the role of central banks in regulating and ensuring the stability of our financial system.

Join us for a discussion on the current banking crisis and policies going forward. Bob Rinek, Jose Peris and Van Hawn (MCC members and advisory board members of Heller-Hurwicz Economic Institute) have arranged for this opportunity / panel discussion. The discussion will include the following panel / guest speakers: V.V. Chari, Paul W. Frenzel Land Grant Professor of Liberal Arts, Terry Fitzgerald, Adjunct Professor and Retired Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Christopher Phelan, Professor of Economics and sponsored by the Heller Hurwicz Economics Institute.

Interested in carpooling? Click on the registrant list and find a member in your building or near you that you can connect with and ask to share a ride. Or, feel free to contact the MCC office for a suggestion.
