Celebrate spring with a series of five bird-watching walks along the river or Minneapolis lakes! We hope to see migrating warblers and other songbirds. Gregg Severson, naturalist with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, will lead the walks. Bring binoculars and field guides, if you have them (we’ll also have some to borrow). This week's walk is at the Roberts Bird Sanctuary, near Lake Harriet. Pay parking is available at the Peace Garden/Roberts Bird Sanctuary Parking lot on the east end of the bird sanctuary. Find a map here.
NOTE: You don’t have to be a serious birder to participate—this is a chance to learn! And these are not strenuous hikes but rather easy walks with lots of stopping.
