Join us for a scenic hike along the East Bank of the Mississippi River.
We’ll meet at the paid parking lot at 550 East River Road, near the Irene Claudia Kroll Boathouse in East River Flats Park on the University of Minnesota campus. The boathouse is home to several rowing teams, including the Golden Gophers women’s varsity rowing team.
Our route follows an approximately 1½-mile paved path shaded by trees and running alongside the Mississippi River. Those looking for a shorter hike can turn around at the end of this section and return to the parking lot for a 3-mile round trip, which should take about an hour. Those who would like a longer walk are welcome to continue farther along the river before turning back.
