About this event

Laurie Hertzel, the former books editor at the Minneapolis Star Tribune, will discuss her latest memoir, "Ghosts of Fourth Street," which is set in Duluth in the 1960s and told through the eyes of 9-year-old Laurie. She will talk about how the book came to be, the difficulties of writing about family, and the particular problems of memory, especially when the event took place decades before.
