Lake Street is a vibrant and bustling outdoor art gallery, boasting an array of captivating murals that weave a tale of South Minneapolis’s diverse history and creativity. Each mural and public art piece invites you to immerse yourself in its story. Join us on a sensory journey through art, culture, and community. This tour will be led by an artist and is provided through the Lake Street Council. We will see more than two dozen murals in a one-mile loop. We’ll gather for the tour at 1:30 pm outside the Midtown Global Market at the northwest corner of Lake Street and 10th Avenue.
Please be prepared to walk on uneven surfaces. Registration is limited to 25 people.
Arrive early to enjoy a Dutch-treat lunch at Midtown Global Market before the tour. Vendors can validate one hour of parking in the lot with a purchase; additional metered street parking is available nearby.
