About this event
Abstraction and Ourselves is the first U.S. exhibition dedicated to abstract painting and glass sculpture. Join us for a free guided tour of this striking show featuring monumental-scale works by renowned international artists. Highlights include paintings by Helen Frankenthaler, Howardena Pindell, and Dyani White Hawk, along with sculptural works by Claire Falkenstein, Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová, drawn from the Cafesjian Art Trust collection and important national and regional loans. Throughout the tour, you’ll be encouraged to reflect on your own perceptions, thoughts, and feelings as you experience abstraction — and what it reveals about yourself.
After the tour, we'll head next door to the Churchill St. restaurant for a Dutch-treat lunch.
Free parking is available at the Cafesjian Art Trust. Please plan on arriving 10 minutes before the 10:00 am tour.
